By Road:

Deepak Hotel in Bakkhali is 125 km by road from Joka trolley car terminus at the south-western side of Kolkata. The road run with Diamond Harbour & Kakdwip to Namkhana, where the car or bus has to be transit cross the Hatania-Doania inlet in an especial ferry. The ferryboat service is available from 7AM-11PM without from 12 noon till 1:45 PM (lunch hour). The road travel from Joka at the bounding line of Kolkata to Bakkhali takes about 3 - 3.5 hours. However, crowded market places can stay movement.

By Bus:

WBSTC has ordinary bus service from Dharmatala to Bakkhali. There is two round tour from Kolkata to Bakkhali provided by WBSTC. One must confirm the from Dharmatala Bus Stand before venturing out from Kolkata. Also, there are plenty of local buses up to Namkhana and then again from Namkhana to Bakkhali. By Train:

The nearest rail station is at Namkhana. There are ordinary trains from Sealdah through Lakshmikantapur and Kakdwip to Namkhana. This is an 8 km long beach stretching from Bakkhali to Frasergunj with gently rolling waves. The walk over the beach from Bakkhali to Frasergunj is a lovely experience. It is a hard beach compatible with cycling or even driving. One can take long walks with coconut water.

Henry Island & Watch Tower:

Henry Island is an island close Bakkhali in South 24 Parganas, India. It is named after a European who measured land in the area in the late 19th Century. profound mangrove forest divided by numerous canals covered the area then. There is no one to pry other than the red violinist crabs dotting the outskirts. wait on the stretch and deserted beach is very enjoyable. Jambudwip:

Jambudwip is the name of an isolated island situated in the Bay of Bengal about 8 km to the southwest of Fraserganj/Bakkhali in the South 24 Parganas . It remains lonesome except in the fishing season, i.e. between the months of October and February.
Jambudwip were the island's nearness to the fishing grounds, the presence of a natural creek for the safe shelter of their boats, and supply of drinking water.
